Still Life Paintings

Still lifes are one of my favorite subjects to paint. I truly consider still life art to be very intellectual. It works both ways to me. An artist who paints still lifes has to create a harmoneous composition and capture a complex correlation of objects through light, shadow and reflexes.

The viewer who appreciates still lifes is able to see and enjoy those details. The brush strokes are like a secret language that not everyone is able to read. That is why understanding it is so enjoyable.
